athol moult (born 24 july 1967 in pretoria, south africa) is a south african artist who works in various media. his art finds expression in, sculpture, photography, painting, drawing, printmaking and ceramics

athol is an award-winning, african, commercial, editorial and fine art photographer based in cape town, south africa. his photographic subject matter includes travel, environmental portraiture, creating inspiring and unexpected photographs of people, wildlife and landscapes. athol is a full-time artist, photographer and graphic designer. he has exhibited in london, johannesburg and cape town.  his work is represented in corporate and private art collections in south africa and he received a bachelor of fine arts degree with honours, from the university of pretoria in 1992. 

athol’s art shows distinctive graphic influences and does not conform to a single style or medium. as an artist who describes his work as a story telling process, where the journey becomes his subject and the environment his studio, athol’s focus is on capturing and creating visual dialogues
