john bauer is a world renowned ceramicist. he is known for his challenging and unique neurology that creates fertile ground for innovation. he redefines the boundaries and possibilities of porcelain, like reverse-engineering a tsung dynasty technology, or inventing a printing technology on porcelain coined "dioroid" which works with a responsive emulsion infused in the body of clay to capture images of ambient objects.

his public installations - each one unique, made up of a kaleidoscope of matchbox-sized tiles,  and dubbed "people's museums", allows the spectator to touch it and even create their own work by rubbing it.
